Shauna has just finished her training at The Brighton Academy (TBA), where she trained on the ‘Dance For Commercial Performance’ BA honours degree course.
She danced from the age of 3, attending Danceworld Studios for 16 years, and completed BATD exams in: ballet (up to and including, grade advanced), as well as tap and modern (grade intermediate exams). She has been put forward for multiple BATD scholarships, as well as participated in shows, competitions and festivals with Danceworld Stage School. With Danceworld, she also had the opportunity to perform in shows with Strictly Come Dancing professionals four times, as well as dance in a Cineworld Promo Video.
In 2021 she was awarded the ‘Passion for dance award’ , by Kerry Nastri. She was also nominated for ‘Best Solo Artist’ ,SEEA Awards, 2020. In 2018, Shauna won a scholarship, at The British Arts competition for a taster week at The Brighton Academy, where she would later train.
Shauna also trained in lyrical and contemporary at Danceworld, and continued with all of these styles at TBA, where she also gained knowledge and experience in jazz, commercial, commercial heels, choreography, PBT and Pilates and ‘aerial and hoop’ .
Shauna has a strong technical background, and has developed a strong understanding of classical ballet, as she originally trained on a ballet focused course, before deciding to focus on all genres of dance.
Shauna developed her performance skills, in shows, as well behind the camera for dance films, during her time at TBA, in which she had opportunities to perform featured roles.
In 2024, she performed as a featured ballet soloist in the official music video ‘Rely on Me’ by Aimee Iris.
