Hi, my name is Megan, and I’m 16 years old. I’ve been attending Danceworld since a young age, and every moment has been an amazing experience. Performing has always been my passion, and Danceworld has helped me grow in so many ways, both as a dancer and a person. Recently, we’ve wrapped up an exciting show season and are now preparing for our exams.

Currently, I’m working towards my Grade 6/Elementary ballet and modern exams. In addition, I have completed exams in street dance, BATD Elementary tap, and solo LAMDA exams for musical theatre. 

One of the highlights of my time at Danceworld was the incredible opportunity to perform at Disneyland Paris. It was very exciting to showcase duet and group dances on such a magical stage, and is something I’ll never forget. I’ve also had the honour of being put forward for the BATD scholarships for three consecutive years, and it was a great experience attending the last two, which were held in Glasgow. 

During my time at Danceworld, I have performed with solos, duets, and troupe numbers in various competitions. This includes the British Arts Awards, which takes place on a national scale. I have been lucky enough to reach the finals in London for the past three years with my tap solo, tap duet, tap troupe, and modern troupe dances. Additionally, outside of Danceworld, I've performed in local productions, which have further broadened my performance experience.

What makes Danceworld really special is the sense of family that we have here. Danceworld has truly been a second home to me in that sense. The support, encouragement, and guidance from my teachers have been invaluable, and I truly couldn’t thank them enough for all they've done for me. I have made so many friendships for life here. I’m so excited for what’s to come!
