HENRY

Hello, my name is  Henry . I am 12 years old and I started dancing when I was three. I joined Danceworld when we moved to the area and I love going each week.

Dancing is  incredibly fun and I like that it is really challenging. The first class I joined was Musical Theatre and then I joined Street Dance. At Christmas I joined two new classes that I hadn’t done before. Tap and Modern, and even though I’ve had a lot to learn I love my new classes.

In July I took part in the Danceworld show at Thameside Theatre.  And, performed in a dance for each of my classes: Modern, Tap, Musical Theatre and Street Dance. 

My favourite part of a show is when I get very nervous just before going onto stage.   This year I was most worried about the new dance styles I was performing, but I am glad that it all went well. The teachers were in the wings ready to support and encourage us before we went on.

This was my third Danceworld show and it was an exciting  and memorable experience.

Now that the new term has started I am looking forward to learning even more routines with my teachers and working towards my dance exams. 

Dancing is really rewarding and I love spending my mornings at Danceworld each week.
