Hi I’m Issy and I am 16 years old. I have been training at Danceworld since the age of 3. I train in ballet, tap, modern, contemporary, musical theatre and street.

I am currently working towards taking my grade 6 ballet exam and Elementary modern and tap exams. I have previously been nominated for scholarships from examiners where I am able to compete against dancers across the country and learn from high level choreographers, including people from the royal ballet school and west end performers.

I am part of the elite troupe which enables me to compete in festivals and other competitions as part of an amazing team. I also compete as a soloist in various different styles of dance ,including acro, lyrical and pointe, which has helped to build my confidence and independence as a dancer.

Last October I was nominated for a South East Entertainment Award and was so excited to win my category and to be awarded Best Female Dancer aged 13-17.

I have also been part of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’s UK & Ireland tour as one of the sewer children. I Have danced with strictly professionals numerous times including Pasha and Katya. I have been in a promotional video for Cineworld as well as performing for the opening of 42nd street at the cinema. I have danced at the BATD conference in front of examiners from all over the country.

I am so grateful for all of the opportunities that Danceworld has given me as well as the amazing teaching and support they provide. I have made so many friends over the years and I could not imagine my life without dance and Danceworld!
